Laila & Martin // Laura Ashley Belsfield Wedding Photography

Oh my goodness, it's almost impossible to know where to start, but what a stunning day we had with Laila and Martin at the Laura Ashley Belsfield, overlooking a very magical-looking Windermere. I spent the morning with Laila and the girlies, while my faboulous second shooter Alex spent time photographing and getting to know Martin and the lads. I have to admit that sometimes I find myself waiting for little emotional moments, whether it's a few tears, or a shed load of laughter.. but I have to say that with the gorgeous Laila it was just a given, being such a smiley and happy bride! 

Laila and Martin were married in the Belsfield Restaurant, which has stunning views over the Windermere. I'd say getting married facing one of the most beautiful 'lakes' in Cumbria has to be pretty hard to beat. Many of Laila and Martin's guests had travelled to the Lake District from the Philippines, and I'm so glad they were able to enjoy a not so typical Cumbrian summers day.. with heat.. real heat.. and proper sunshine, perfect for the lawn games that had been provided. 

We took Laila and Martin a mile down the road to Millerground after their first dance. The whispy sunlight was far too lovely not to take advantage of; and hopefully you'll think it was well worth it! Is whispy a word?!
