Emma & Al // Blaithwaite House Wedding Photography

I don’t even know where to start with Emma and Al’s wedding, it was just epic from start to finish. Although I loved EVERY wedding I photographed last year, Emma and Al win the award for the most energetic wedding day. Emma and Al had a traditional church wedding and then headed off to the fabulous Blaithwaite House. I love Blaithwaite, it’s the most brilliant combination of country house meets barn. The drinks reception is held in the beautiful grounds of the house, and the barn hosts the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations. Kate and Malcolm are outstanding owners and hosts, and it really is always an absolute pleasure to work there.

For a September day the weather was glorious. It wasn’t baking hot, but it was warm enough to sit out long into the evening, which was perfect for Emma and Al’s outdoor music set while evening guests were arriving and starting to celebrate. It’s not very often I get photos of people dancing outside, but get a saxophone and you’ve got an outdoor rave going on right there and I’m on it!!

Emma looked stunning in her dress from Mia Bridal, with gorgeous flowers provided by Flower World in Penrith. Al looked fabulous too.. just.. well.. he’s no Emma ;)

Thank you to all of you for making us feel so unbelievably welcome - it was amazing!
